Overview
Join Heather Luna for an easy stroll along a forested trail to meet a variety of edible and medicinal plants. This herb walk is held in a unique ecosystem among the company of ancient trees which introduces over 25 bioregional botanical species. Participants will learn plant identification, medical applications, and ethical harvesting practices to sustain both human and ecological health. This walk highlights shade loving creekside botanicals with an opportunity to meet medicinal mushrooms and wild orchids. Heather is a well seasoned herbalist, forager, wildcrafter, naturalist, and all around botanical wise woman. No experience necessary! Open to the community. Be sure to check the weather and dress accordingly. * * * * * * * When: Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm PST Where: Rock Creek Nature Trail, about 10 miles from Nevada City, CA. Cost: $40; ACORN Students get a discount, please contact the school for details. Amenities: There is a bathroom. The trail is earthen, mostly flat and considered easy.
