Heather Luna, Clinical Herbalist, Clinical Nutritionist
Founder of the ACORN School of Herbal Medicine
She is the primary teacher for all classes and programs, as well as the director and supervising faculty of our Free Clinic.
Heather has 25 years of experience as a professional clinician, herbal educator, nutritional counselor, gardener, wildcrafter, and medicine maker. She instructs at every level of herbal education within the vitalist paradigm, from the beginner to the practicing clinician. As a teacher Heather trains students to keep the end result of clinical practice in view. She guides students with practical case examples and clinical outcomes. She also supervises every case that comes through the ACORN clinic. With hundreds of client records and documented case reports to illustrate the art of the practice which produce results. Under her guidance students receive real world case-based education in a practice of applied learning.

Paul Bergner, Medical Herbalist, Clinical Nutritionist
Founder of the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism
Our school patron and herbal elder, Paul Bergner, is the inspiration for the ACORN School of Herbal Medicine. It is his curriculum that our first two programs are founded on, Footprints in Medical Herbalism and Advanced Herbalism in the Vitalist Tradition.
Paul has over 50 years experience in natural medicine, with formal studies in naturopathy, medical herbalism, clinical nutrition, pre-medicine and doctoral level medical studies, flower essences, yoga therapy, and bodywork. He is a Vitalist practitioner in the lineage of Father Sebastian Kneipp and Henry Lindlahr.
