Independence Trail Herb Walk 4/4/26

Overview

Walk with Heather Luna along an easy flat trail in the native landscape of Nevada County. Get to know medicinal and edible plants of the Sierra Foothills. Discuss local wild plants and how to use them. Participants will learn plant identification, medical applications, and ethical harvesting practices to sustain both human and ecological health. Heather is a well seasoned herbalist, forager, wildcrafter, naturalist, and all around botanical wise woman. No experience necessary! Open to the community. Be sure to check the weather and dress accordingly. * * * * * * * When: Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm PST Where: Independence Trail, about 6 miles from Nevada City, CA. Cost: $40 ; ACORN Students get a discount, please contact the school for details. Amenities: There is a bathroom. The trail is earthen, mostly flat and considered easy.
